Firefly private event catering is a personalised food service that is tailored to your needs. If you’ve got a big family party, a birthday, wedding or special occasion happening, talk to Sara about your budget, tastes and venue, and Firefly Foods will work with you to create a food experience your guests will love.

At an additional cost, Firefly can arrange for the hiring of tables and seating, crockery, cutlery and all necessities for you. Alternatively, you can make your own arrangements and let Firefly look after the food!
Below are a few sample menus to get your imagination going. This is not an exhaustive list…we can also create a menu and quote just for you.

Sample Menu 1
Selection of handmade dips (Hummus, Babaganouj, Beetroot), served with organic/biodynamic vegetable sticks and crackers OR Soup: Pea and Ham or Pumpkin and Miso, served with wood-fired bread and butter.
Local, free range pork, beef or chicken, spit roasted and served with a variety of fresh local vegetables, homemade gravy and local greens.
Choice of either: Fresh, organic, local and seasonal fruit platter, with local cheeses and crackers OR Seasonal fruit crumble served with homemade custard OR Organic, gluten free chocolate brownie served with Mungalli Creek Biodynamic cream or yoghurt.
Sample Menu 2:
Pakoras, Onion Bhajis and Samosas served with homemade mango chutney.
Choice of three freshly made curries: Meat: Southern Indian Sour Fish Curry, made with locally sourced, wild caught and sustainable fish, Classic Butter Chicken made with free range or organic chicken, Pork Vindaloo, made with local free range pork, Beef Madras, made with local biodynamic pastured beef, or Vegetarian: Spinach and Homemade Paneer curry, Potato and Pea curry, Tomato Kofta curry, Mixed Vegetable Curry with tamarind or Red/Green Lentil Dhal.
All curries are served with basmati rice, mango chutney, fresh mint/coriander chutney, lime pickle, yoghurt raita and poppadums.
Fresh Lassi with mango (in season), Rose Water, Strawberries or Cardamom
Indian Dessert Platter (Halwa, Mango Kesari, Kheer) or fresh, seasonal fruit platter.
Sample Menu 3
Rice Paper rolls: handmade rice paper rolls with either local, free range pork, local wild caught prawns or fresh organic vegetables, served with dipping sauce (chili optional) Gluten free.
Deep fried Spring Rolls: Crunchy homemade spring rolls made with either free range local meat, local wild caught prawns or organic cabbage and carrot. Served with dipping sauce (chili optional).
Main (served with rice):
Green Pawpaw Salad: A refreshing combination from South East Asia containing shredded green pawpaw, tomato, green beans and chili in a salty/sweet/sour dressing.
Red/Green Curry: Freshly made South East Asian coconut cream curry made with local free range pork, beef or chicken (Vegetarian available) OR Massaman Curry (Beef, Potato and Peanut curry from Malaysia), made with organic local potatoes and biodynamic pastured beef.
Fresh seasonal fruit platter OR Sticky rice with coconut and ginger sauce.
